Elder Garner Update

Elder Garner is doing incredibly well in Midland, Texas. I'm a proud sister.

He emails photos quite often and I want to be sure they all find a home on the blog. Here are some photos of the latest Elder Garner shenanigans...

He and the T-shirt would like to know if we've got Jesus, because it's hell without him!

He and his headless companion keep scaring people off. They just can't figure out why.

I couldn't get enough of the elders' cute Christmas spirit. I think they channeled Charlie Brown a bit.

Elder Garner's best "Blue (couch) Steel". He's ridiculously good looking.

He was surprised to see snow in Texas!

This is a cute girl who got baptized recently. She has the longest name I've ever seen (I won't post it for her privacy, but the girl has five names!). Isn't she gorgeous?

This cute twelve year old girl got baptized by her dad recently.

Heaven sent? He believes he is.

These next photos were taken just prior to Elder Garner's transfer to Midland.

Elder Garner, Elder Johnson, and Elder Bassett

Elder Hart and Elder Bassett were his Zone Leaders and companions for a while, and Elder Johnson is a good friend and another elder who shared their apartment. There was a whole gang in there and they had a blast working together.

This is how they roll in Texas. Although I don't think these wheels have rolled in a while.

I think Elder Garner has made some lifelong friends.
Elder Garner, Sister Crane, and Elder Johnson

This week he told us that Texans have the nicest possible way of turning down the elders. It's all that Southern charm. They knocked on the door of an older woman who said "Aw, y'all are so sincere, but sincerely wrong." He said they got a laugh out of that and although not everyone is ready for their message, they keep on believing!

It's so nice to hear from my little brother and to see his cute face from time to time. His knowledge and faith impress me immensely. The church is true!
