Thanksgiving and Getting into the Holiday Swing of Things

We had a family of five Thanksgiving this year and we loved the bonding time. Tom had the week off work, Shelby had the week off school, and we played.

I made this lovely apple pie. I conquered my fear of making pie from scratch and oh baby was this a yummy treat.

Of course there was the feast. We had all the good stuff - turkey, homemade stuffing, mashed potatoes, gravy, the works.

There was also video gaming...

Geocaching (one of our new favorite activities)...

Hair styling...

This is called the Mermaid Tail.

Playing at Kids' World...

And selfies.

After Thanksgiving we jumped into Christmas mode and got the house all decorated.

And we had a chance to ride the holiday lights train ride. The kids loved it.

At first, Emmett felt this way about his first Christmas season...

I don't wanna!

But tonight the kids had a chance to meet Santa at the ward party, and now he's like...

Ok, this isn't so bad.

And the big kids are like...
