Our week was full of family visits and we loved it.
Ed, Jen, Dallin, Taylor, and Cami came by after flying into LAX to see our new place, have lunch on the pier, and catch some waves. Who needs a surfboard? They were brave enough to jump right into the water.
It was hard to get Dallin, Taylor, and Cami out of the water...they had too much fun getting soaked!
Then we had Bill, Austin, and Kennan over for Thanksgiving dinner. It was our first time hosting! We had a blast spending time with them.

I was really nervous about cooking my first Thanksgiving feast, but it turned out great! Phew.
Thanks to Tom for making the pumpkin pies and carving the turkey, to Austin and Kennan for showing me the ropes with the chocolate chip pie, and to Bill for doing all of those dishes.
We must have been too excited to chow down on Thanksgiving, because I forgot to stop and take a photo of our first feast before it was all gone! We had:

We must have been too excited to chow down on Thanksgiving, because I forgot to stop and take a photo of our first feast before it was all gone! We had:
- Turkey
- Stuffing
- Mashed potatoes
- Gravy
- Cranberry salad
- Rolls
- Chocolate chip pie
- Pumpkin pies...THREE of them
- Cranberry juice & Sprite cocktail to drink (just the two drinks mixed together - it's yummy)
It was all delicious and still is...we're working on the leftovers.
On top of Thanksgiving dinner we got to play with the kids lots - meaning we played games and things and, for Uncle Tom, it meant literally playing with the kids. They love the feats of strength.

I'm glad that your dinner was a success, but with pie, pie, and more pie, how could you go wrong. I hope your adjusting to the new ward nicely, any new callings yet?
Sounds like an awesome week! You are cool on the Thanksgiving dinner--in 10 years of marriage I've only made it twice. Both times have been just for our family and I somehow always forget that even thought there are six of us there are only two adults...I'm with you on the leftover thing.
So you gonna be around for our annual skater breakfast? I just got the details and am hoping you'll be in town :) Since we only get to see ya once a year, we pretty much rely on it.
