The Big Move

We did it! We officially moved to Redondo Beach on November 1st. All the boxes are unpacked, the pictures are hung, everything has a place, and it feels like home.

Packing everything up the night before could have made for an extra scary Halloween; thank goodness Tom took several loads over before the big moving day so we had less packing to deal with.

Thanks to help from some awesome friends, we got the truck loaded, drove from Hollywood to here, and unloaded the truck, all in four hours. Which means we had plenty of time left to shop for cool new stuff for our cool new place!

We're going to do a walking tour of our new neighborhood soon, but until we find a moment in the sunlight (sans ash everywhere - have you read about the southern California fires?), welcome to the tour of our new apartment!

he's got a great computer setup in our extra bedroom.
I guess the more cavernous, the better.

The cool thing, you can see from the last photo, is that we have an upstairs and a downstairs! Not so uncommon in lots of places I'm sure, but a two story place is a novelty in apartments around here. The upstairs didn't photograph with the same pizazz, so I'll keep it to what we've got.
