First we went to downtown LA to our new favorite shopping place - sample sales in the fashion district. With a cute little boy coming, I need to stock up on clothes. I've found it much more difficult to find boy clothes I like vs. girl clothes, but I'm hitting my stride. I had a bit of luck today...but bought just as much for Shelby!
This little girl is a great shopping buddy. She hung in there even though her attention span was much shorter than mine. She's a keeper.
It helps that she found ways to play here and there, like bouncing on this adorable (and only a little creepy) bunny toy.
Afterward we went outside to get our wiggles out. I'd say we went out to get some fresh air too, but that's about the last thing to expect in the heart of downtown!
We left at the perfect time to arrive at a Halloween party at a mall near us. Shelby went all out - face painting, balloon flower, goodie bag, singing, and arts and crafts. It was a fun little event.
| Tom and I love that she's trying to figure out how to smile. Sometimes the result is a little interesting. But still cute. |
There's a Pottery Barn Kids at the mall that Shelby's grown all too familiar with. Not because I shop there much - pricey! - but because it's lots of fun to play in. Today it seemed she was in a more businesslike mood.
She kept checking out her face paint. It looked adorable! It was her first time with face paint, and I'm glad she was excited about it.
I love my little buddy!
