Kami's Wedding

I just got back from a second visit to Seattle and it was awesome.

Why, you ask?

Because I went to my friend Kami's wedding!

Brooke, Jessica, Kami the beautiful bride, me, Cameron the ladies' man

Kami is adorable and I was so excited to hear she was engaged to equally adorable Porter. I just couldn't miss the big day. So Cameron and I geared up and flew out for the weekend. The boy is such a trooper. I'm so glad he came along to charm everyone. It was fun to bond with him, too.

Meanwhile, Tom stayed in town with Shelby and they had a big daddy-daughter weekend. He's such a fun dad and Shelby adores him. I am so lucky Tom was willing to help out like that.

Back to Washington, Cameron and I flew out Friday night and got picked up by my sister. That's the added bonus of the trip - the Taylors! Jake, Andrea, and Haylie (and baby to be!) live in Lacey and let us crash at their house. It was so fun to visit them and to see their cute home after such a long time. The place looks so good! Jake and Andrea have great taste and have been very busy nesting.

Saturday was the wedding and the day could not have been more beautiful. Everything went so smoothly and it was fantastic to be part of it. They got married and sealed for time and all eternity in the Seattle temple surrounded by family and friends. That's a good feeling.

The reception was at a cute little place called The Center for Wooden Boats on the water in Seattle. There we had delicious food and hilarious entertainment sponsored by the bride, groom, and talented friends and family. The night was amazing. Kami and Porter put on a good show. After seeing them off on a sailboat (actually, we saw them get on the sailboat, but it was too cold to wait for them to cast off...), we headed back to Lacey. Brooke and Jessica stayed over as well and it was a fun slumber party. They didn't seem to want to get up and party when Cameron did throughout the night, though. Strange, huh? Just kidding. Glad they kept sleeping.

I laughed when we flew in to Long Beach airport - not a drop of rain in Seattle and we returned to a downpour!

Kami, you are loved! I'm so glad the details came together so Cameron and I could be part of the big day. I love having such good friends.
