Done!

Our house is unpacked, decorated, and cute! And ready for a closeup.

Enjoy the tour!

This is the view from our front porch.

The study is the first room you see when you come in.

This is meant to be a formal dining room, but we prefer the cozy hangout.

The cool rug and green chair are my favorite finds of the whole decorating experience. I love the study.

Here's the kitchen.

Here's the dining area. Say hi to Cameron!

Here's the family room. Hi again, Cameron!

Our master bedroom is on the main floor, next to the family room. That makes it a great hangout on Saturday mornings.
Hi Tom, Shelby, and Patch!

Shelby's room looks so cute.

My friends decorated with tissue paper puffs at Shelby's baby shower. I took some home for kicks, and the rest is history. We got new ones in matching colors so she can have her signature decoration in this room too.

Thanks grandma and grandpa for the cute bedding!

Cameron's room is the only one I didn't have a vision for. Then I found the cute rug with a forest floor, creek, and animal footprints. It goes with the green paint and brown curtains. So now the idea is a woodsy forest theme. I'm still bringing it together.
Cameron's room is huge, so we put the extra desk in there and Shelby has adopted it as a coloring table.

Shelby wanted to water a plant yesterday. Note to self: when you turn on the hose, along come mud puddles. We didn't have anywhere to be, so splash all you want kiddos!

Speaking of splashing, we're lucky enough to have a pool in the neighborhood. The kids love it. Thanks for the swimsuit, grandma! It'll get plenty of use this summer.

There you have it!

Here's what it's taken to get to this point:
  • 4 trips to Home Goods
  • 3 trips to Ikea
  • 2 trips to Bed, Bath, and Beyond
  • 1 trip to Kohl's
  • 1 trip to Michael's
  • 1 trip to Home Depot
  • 2 orders from Amazon
  • 8-ish trips to Target (I stopped counting)
Lots of returns and indecision! But it came together.

We are so grateful to be in this beautiful place. Tom's coworker coined the phrase "forever house", and that's how we feel about this house. We wouldn't mind staying here forever if that's what life has in store for us. We haven't felt that way about the other places we've lived since we've been married, and it feels good.

Now that everything is decorated, my job is just to try to put together a fun little life for us here in Moorpark.

We'll keep you posted on what's happening!
