In the spirit of the last post, I also wanted to memorialize the last times we did some favorite Redondo Beach activities. Here we go!
We love Roundhouse Aquarium on the Manhattan Beach pier.
| I didn't want to cough up the quarters to pay for the telescope, and Shelby was convinced that she could see anyway. Works for me. |
Here's our last round of "The Color Game". The store behind us has this colorful mosaic wall and Shelby loved to run and slap the color we called out. It became a favorite family game.
|
Next was a first and last. There's a small aquarium in Redondo Beach called The Sea Lab. We always wanted to visit and had a chance to catch it before the move.
On the way, Shelby fell asleep in the stroller and was out like a light. So I walked the extra block to Hermosa Beach and let Cameron play in the sand.
| He was in heaven. |
Once Shelby finally woke up, she was ready to run! Literally! We played outside and toured the touch tanks.
Inside, the kids got to peek at all the sea creatures.
The volunteers were trying to close for the day as the kids kept exploring. They finally got rid of us after some coaxing from me - it's hard to stop these guys when they're having fun!
The kids loved to play at their friend Eliza's house. She had a big yard with lots of fun toys (yards are a rare commodity in Redondo Beach).
On our last visit Shelby channeled her inner two year old by wearing this cute owl costume and loving the kiddie swing.

The packers came the day before we moved, and while they worked we took a last trip to Veterans' Park with grandma. This has been our favorite Redondo Beach park - it's a short walk, near the beach, a fun sandy playground with lots of room to run, and a great farmers' market on Thursdays.
This is the second adorable picture I have of the kiddos sharing this toy. It's a great photo op.

I resisted posting the photo of grandma on one of these things. You're welcome, mom! She's a fun grandma.
Really this is an excuse to blog the cute photos of the kids I
accumulated in the weeks I was too busy to post them (I'm looking at
you escrow - you time drain, you!).
I don't want to forget these fun times!
