Back in September, we had a visit from Tom's mom and dad. I didn't take pictures, so I didn't blog about it. Luckily Tom's dad stepped up as the unofficial official photographer of the weekend to document our adventures. I finally remembered to ask for copies and I'm glad I did because it brought back good memories.

Tom's mom is an amazing quilter. She made this work of art for us as a housewarming gift.

It did the trick - I love having it in our room. It matches perfectly and it's beautiful!

| I love this photo because Tom has his arm around his mom. Aw! I have no idea what I'm doing. |
Mom and Dad have been visiting lighthouses across the country. There's one in Oxnard at Port Hueneme, and we went to find it and add it to their map.
It's closed to visitors except on one day per month. But we got good photographic evidence - we were there!

Not surprisingly, the kids were more excited about the drinking fountain and attached dog dish than anything else. They love to play in any gross drinking fountain we find. Entertaining? Yes (for them). Sanitary? No way.

I wasn't sure what to expect as far as scenery, but I didn't expect this. It was gorgeous.

We had fun wandering around the rocks as a family and I love the candid photos.

Shelby found a ladybug and let it crawl all over her.

Cameron and I were rock buddies. That boy is too cute.

Thanks so much for the visit! And the gorgeous photos!
PS ~ I downloaded the photos yesterday, but I waited until today to blog so I could call this a "Throwback Thursday". I'm a nerd.
