Today some of Shelby's preschool friends got to have a snow day.
I use the term "snow" loosely.
The Boys and Girls Club here in Moorpark had the ice shavings from the nearby ice rink delivered to the parking lot for a snow day. It was a sad little pile of icy stuff.
But that didn't matter to Shelby! She had a blast. I'm glad she can go with the flow.
Cameron was having none of it. He's a California sunshine boy.

All morning I'd talked about going to the snow. Then when we arrived I realized he'd had no idea what I was saying. The last time he was around snow he wasn't even a year old!
So he didn't know what the stuff was. And he didn't like it. He preferred the rocks and dirt.
| My sister taught me to tell the kids to find my nose when I take a picture instead of "say cheese". The problem with Cameron is that he looks and also points! |
| He tried out some passive resistance when I said we should go back to the snow to find Shelby. He plopped down in the middle of the parking lot. |
