That's how my friend introduced me at the playground yesterday.
What the what? I have a Kindergartener?
I sure do! This cute girl.
Yesterday was Shelby's first day of Kindergarten. She was so ready and so excited. She looked super cute.

Before school we found lots of friends from our ward. Strangely, none of the kids we know are in her class, but they'll see each other at recess and lunch.

We also saw Shelby's friend Abigail. They'll be on the same soccer team this fall.

I had lots of fun dropping her off. So much fun that we missed going into her classroom on time! We squeezed in just in time for the day to start.
After we picked her up we got cones at McDonald's for a first day treat. It was fun to sit on the porch and unload her backpack and talk about the day's adventures.
I wanted the day to feel special all day, so I decorated a little. Cameron and I also got her a workbook to help her practice her Kindergarten math, and she got so excited about it. Success!
I love this girl! I'm so proud of our Kindergartener.
