Where did you go on your first date? Indoor rock climbing. Tom's theory is that this is the best first date because a guy gets to see the girl dressed in less clothing than usual, gets to show off - if you're a studly climber guy like he is, and gets to break the touch barrier a bit. Poor, unassuming me had no idea about these ulterior motives when I said yes. Oh, well, I skipped out early for a hair appointment. Call it even.
How long have you been together? All that pre-marriage stuff: about 7 months. Married: just over 18 months.
Who eats more? That's actually a pretty fair fight...
Who said I love you first? So Tom and I each have very good memories of dating...except for the first "I love you". I have no idea! Lame, right?
Who is taller? Tom.
Who sings better? Definitely Tom.
Who does the laundry? Me - at 6am before work. We only have one machine in our building and I hate fighting other people for it!
Who pays the bills? I pay anything that involves writing a check - that's girly stuff. Tom's great at handling everything else.
Who mows the lawn? I should probably be ashamed to admit that I've never touched a lawnmower. Ever. So when we have a yard, that's all Tom.
Who cooks dinner? Tom and I both love to cook, so we switch off.
Who drives when you are together? Tom - even when we drive the 10 hours to Utah through the night. He lets me sleep.
Who is more stubborn? We each have our moments...
Whose parents do you see the most? We've seen a lot of mine lately, but luckily we get to see our parents on both sides of the country quite a bit.
Who kissed who first? Tom kissed me at 12:01am on January 10 - happy birthday to me!
Who proposed? Tom did - in France. I was in Nice for a study abroad and he appeared at my apartment completely unannounced. It was the most unbelievable night. We went for a walk along the Mediterranean, out to a lighthouse in the water, and he pulled the ring out right at sunset. Who is this guy? This is a photo of us that night, right before he popped the question.
Who is more sensitive? If we're talking physically, then that's all me - I am insanely ticklish. If we're talking otherwise...still me.
Who has more friends? I think we're pretty equal there. We're both bad at getting together with them sometimes, though!
Who has more siblings? Tom's the baby of six, I'm the oldest of three.
Who wears the pants in the family? We both think the other person wears the pants. Basically, we're both suckers.
