Meet Me in Vegas...

I have an amazing group of girlfriends - meet Brooke, Jessica, and Kami. We met freshman year in the BYU dorms and have been tight since. Here we are in good ol' 405 S Hall winter semester.

In the past three years, two of us have gotten married, one has had a baby, one has gone to Africa to do humanitarian work, two have gone to France to study abroad, one has gone on a mission to Thailand, one has moved to Ohio, one has moved to LA, three have graduated from BYU, one has been accepted to law school...whew! With all of that insanity we realized that the four of us had not been together since Jessica's wedding on June 3, 2005. Time flies!

Jessica, who's from Vegas, was in town from Ohio over the weekend for her sister's wedding. Since Kami, Brooke, and I are driving distance from there (Kami and Brooke live in Utah), we decided to take advantage of the chance to have a ladies' night - or, officially, "Reunion Weekend 2008".

Kami, Brooke, and I came from two different directions and arrived in Vegas at the same time Friday evening. We're totally on the same wavelength. We had a BBQ at Brooke's brother's house (Yum! Thank you!) and then went to Jessica's sister Hilary's wedding. The last time all four of us were together in 2005 was at Jessica's wedding and here we were, three years later, at another Scott sister wedding. They throw a great party!

Saturday was a full-on girls' day - laying out at the pool (and getting a nasty sunburn...), lunch at the country club, dinner at the new miracle mile shops on the strip, shopping at H&M, the Bellagio fountains of course (never gets old...even when you've lived there!), a snack run, and lots of girl talk at the hotel. No Vegas-style gambling or clubbing involved, and that's the way we like it.
Somehow we always end up taking photos
in dressing room mirrors. Love it!

Kami...what a babe!

One confession...we had leftover wedding cake for breakfast on Saturday morning...and then again on Sunday morning. We didn't even cut slices. We armed ourselves with silverware and left that cake with nowhere to hide. So much sugar!

I love eating cake for breakfast! I wouldn't have it any other way. Looks like you had a blast. That's awesome that the four of you have stayed friends through the years.

You girls are so fun to watch when you get together and Jess looks fabulous after having a baby! Did you take any pictures of her little boy?
