5 Months and Adorable!

Yesterday was Shelby's five month birthday - yay!

She got a great birthday present - souvenirs from Paris! Grandma and Grandpa Seguine know I'm a Frenchie and they're helping me get Shelby on board. They picked up an adorable onesie and French versions of The Very Hungry Caterpillar and Babar. Shelby says thank you!

Her latest entertainment is playing with her feet. Here's a great action shot - going for the grab.

Her onesie says "It wasn't me who ate all the chocolate!" We'll believe that, but not for long...this girl's eating solids now! She had her first rice cereal last night. We knew we had to try it last night when she tried to eat my plate! I'd say she was hinting that she's ready for big girl food.

I usually eat dinner with her on my lap and she plays with the edge of my plate. Last night is the first time she ever chewed on it. It was so cute!

After her first bite she grabbed the spoon and wouldn't give it back. Maybe she wanted to feed herself? Someday, Shelby!

She took a few minutes to decide what she thought, but ended up loving it. I couldn't fill the spoon fast enough!

Even though she enjoyed eating, she took some time out to play with her feet again.

What a fun first dinner!

Full, happy, and sleepy! She's been putting herself to bed lately. Swaddling and thumb sucking - that's the magic formula!

Yay for solids! And I recognize those pink fuzzie jammies. :) I love them so much that Izzy has a pair in her size too. I'm going to stick them on her right now!
