We had a fun trip to Utah last week. Tom had a long business trip, and rather than be a single mom for days and days, the kids and I decided to get out of town too. We visited my dad, mom, and brother. We kept super busy and had a great time. Plus, the extra sets of hands were so helpful!
My favorite event? Shelby's first haircut! I've been waiting for this for so long! Now she has a cute little bob.
Her hair was looking pretty unruly and it was time to lose the baby hair at the ends. Now that we're growing out her bangs, it will be easier for them to catch up. She was very well-behaved. She sat still in the chair and ate Mini M&Ms (her favorite).
That evening we had a chance to go to Uncle Taylor's softball game. He's in a league with his friends and I was so glad he had a couple games while we were in town. I haven't watched him play since he was in high school. We got to see three awesome hits and lots of good plays. I love to cheer on my little brother.

We got to go shopping at the new City Creek Center in downtown Salt Lake City (Hallelujah! I REALLY needed some new clothes!). My awesome mom wrangled kiddos while I added to my wardrobe. I also found my new favorite kids' brand - 77 Kids. They don't have lots of stores, but it's online too. Cute, cute stuff.
Then Shelby got to play in the fountains. She usually digs it, but I think she was worn out. Her stamina wasn't what it usually is. But she had fun.
We love our family and this was so worth the trip. Thanks Grandma and Grandpa and Uncle Tay!
