Shelby has been on a big "let's stay home" kick lately. It's been all Play-Doh, all the time, and it's been really fun. I need to relax because I'm the one who gets antsy and wants to get out by late afternoon. But if the kiddos are content, why mess with a good thing?
Today Shelby had a play date with her friend Vivienne. They decided to be princesses. Actually Shelby decided, which is funny because she's not a big frou frou princess type. I was happy with the out of the ordinary choice since Vivienne is definitely a girly girl. They looked so darn cute!
| I love Shelby's "I'm smileeeeeng!" face. |
Once they got dolled up, out came the Play-Doh.
Cameron has lots of fun playing at home, too.
Today we invented a game called "Cam in a Box". Sometimes you just need a way to keep a newly mobile infant contained!
As long as we threw a few toys in there with him, he was content as can be. Until Tom pushed him across the floor. He wasn't sure what he thought of that.
A quick note on the mobility - Cameron has the army crawl down pat. But he doesn't much care to try to crawl on hands and knees. He'd rather stand more than anything and spends his time side-stepping back and forth at our couch and ottoman, and anywhere else that's the right height.
I'm so glad I got this on video...Cameron side-stepped his way over to the Exersaucer and caught a glimpse of himself in the mirror. He was instantly captivated and played with his reflection for a good five minutes. I'm glad he can entertain himself so well!

Oh my. That video is SO adorable! It's like he was playing peek-a-boo with himself!
He is definitely your baby! I can just hear him saying "I'm pretty." ;)
So sweet, giving himself big fat kisses! He's so big too! Love that chunky kid :)
