We spent our second day in California Adventure.
After a brief disappointment when the new racing ride in Cars Land broke down, we regrouped and got some fast passes to come back later.
I hung with the boys while Grandma and Andrea took the girls on the tractor ride. Shelby loves that one.
Then we had another disappointment at the racing ride - Haylie's tall enough! No, wait, she's not! Grr! - but Shelby and I got to go for the first time and loved it.
We regrouped again (re-regrouped?) and spent some more time on rides.
After lunch we played long and hard at the Wilderness Explorer area. The kids all loved that one. I turned around to find Shelby sitting in the water in her denim shorts. That can't be comfortable. Luckily Andrea had spare clothes. We also had a little scare when we all left the area without Patch, but my hero and favorite sister Andrea came to the rescue and tracked him down. Thank goodness.
At some point Shelby crashed in the stroller. Cute Haylie both loves our stroller and loves to do what Shelby's doing, so she climbed in and took a nap as well. Hers may have all been pretend, but it was adorable.
We lucked out when we booked the hotel and got vouchers for free dinner and preferred seating during the World of Color show. Sometimes it really pays to have a pass!

Haylie is snuggling her new kitty. Andrea asked what Haylie should name her
new friend and Haylie said "Zoey Kitty." Andrea reminded Haylie that
they already have a Zoey Kitty at home and asked if she wanted to pick a
new name. Haylie said "Um...White Zoey Kitty." And so that's how she got her name. I thought that was hilarious.
Cute Ammon crashed, too - on his dad's head! Jake's got skills.

We ate at Ariel's Grotto and then watched the show from a perfect spot. It was fantastic.
