Here's Day 3...
We decided to take a break from the theme parks and spend a day at the hotel. We went to breakfast, to the pool, and then to Downtown Disney for the evening.
The character breakfast at Goofy's Kitchen is so cute. You meet Goofy when you check in, and then different characters visit your table while you eat.
I think the biggest hit was actually the car out front where we waited for a table. The kids didn't want to leave!
| Shelby insisted on driving. She was a little bossy. |
| A rare shot of all four kiddos! |
Once we got everyone inside, we started to get some fun visits. We met:
The Mad Hatter
|
| If you put the button on the baby's back, he can't grab it! |
We celebrated at breakfast and had everyone sing. Ammon got a cupcake and quickly tried to grab the flame on the candle. Jake has lightning reflexes and blew it out just in time.
I wish the cameras had come out during pool time, but we were too busy splashing and having fun. We tried out the pool at the Grand Californian Hotel and it was super nice.
We strapped a swimming vest on Shelby and let her go down the big water slide by herself. I lost count of how many times she slid down, but it has to be around thirty. No joke. She loved it.
Cameron crashed and I lounged on a chair with him while mom watched Shelby. It was so relaxing! Andrea was in the same boat; Ammon slept for a long time at the start.
It was hard to wrestle Shelby out of the water. She would have stayed hours longer. But it was hot and time to get lunch, so we went to Tortilla Jo's (tableside guacamole...mmm...) and then back to the hotel to clean up.
We met up with my dad, who spent the day at Disneyland by himself (this is how much he loves Disneyland - it's for real), and then wandered around Downtown Disney.
