Mission Update

Elder Garner has been abducted by aliens.

He's still in Roswell! It seems the ETs can't quite let him go.

Phone home jokes, anyone?

Usually Mondays are the days we hear from him via email, but as it was a holiday he wasn't able to log on today. Instead, here's a much needed blog update!

Elder Garner is in a trio again. His companions are Elder Rios and Elder Greenman. They also have a new apartment, which is great because Taylor said the last one smelled like a potty.

We got to Skype on Mother's Day!

Our Skype situation is funny. My sister and her family go to my parents' house and Jake sets up Skype through the TV. Taylor is huge. Then I Face Time my mom on her iPad and they prop me up so I can see him and he can see me. It's a typical family gathering...

The missionaries had a temple day at the Lubbock Texas temple. Taylor was thrilled. He loves the temple and hadn't had a chance to go to this one yet. He said it was a great day.

If I were to caption this photo, it would say "You call this a dog? My dog Joe could eat this thing in one bite!"

I love that the little kid is looking at them like they're weirdos. Could be the dog thing, more likely it's the missionary thing.

I'm glad I always have a good Elder Garner quote to share. He's pretty wisdomous. (It's hard not to quote Friends when I'm talking about Taylor! Ten points if you can tell me the episode...)

From him:
"The Spirit brings us all closer together and can change people's hearts. The light of Christ is given to us all. It is such a privilege to be able to see the light grow brighter in people and play a part in giving them a hope that they haven't ever felt in their lives."
