We've seen a lot of our Hollywood friends lately - lucky us!
The first big event was the Johnson boys' birthday bash. It was Ryan's late fifth birthday and Benny's first birthday eve. Two days worth celebrating for sure.
The kids were so excited to see each other. The highlight for them was running around with parents' cell phone flashlights after the sun went down. It was cute, and no phones were lost or damaged in the process. That's a good night for everyone.
Our chat that night led us to realize we were all able to meet up on Friday afternoon. Where? Disneyland, naturally! The kids and I headed down after school and joined Seth and Jane and the kiddos and Meghan and her kiddos.

I'm glad we got a shot of us girls. (And ladies' man Benny!)
|
| Cameron agreed to pose for me, but he got distracted... |
| We especially liked the impromptu dance show from our kids. |
| Jane brought along the glow swag. It was all super popular. |
Cameron still needs to learn the art of the selfie. Obviously I'm not qualified to teach him.
|
| Shelby practiced faces for the cameras on the rides. Sadly her face usually gets covered - she's got to gain some inches first! |
We stayed at Disneyland until 11:30pm! I was not planning on that. We covered all the Disneyland Christmas bases, ending with It's A Small World Christmas-style. It was a great day / evening / night.
Today we got to see Meghan and Holly. I had a doctor's appointment, and since I'm still going to my old doctor (I couldn't bear the thought of finding a new one - mine is hard to beat!), we drove out to the office in Beverly Hills. Usually I rush back afterward so I can pick up Shelby from school, but since it was a day off Shelby came along. That freed us to meet our Hollywood friends again. We spent the afternoon at the Americana in Glendale.
Our plan was to ride the trolley, but it wasn't running today as they were setting up Christmas decorations. So we went to the Disney Baby store and found ourselves playing there for a long time. Luckily the employees made us feel at home.
Cameron and Claire adopted Mickey and Minnie.

Shelby got cozy.
|
The kids all found lots of friends to snuggle.
|
Shelby and Claire had story time...
|
...but quickly got distracted when the employee brought out crayons and pictures to color.
|
I really thought it was cool how well we were accommodated; we all had a great time.
Jack led the kids in a quick game of follow the leader to get out the last-minute wiggles before the drive home. There were lots of near-collisions with other shoppers...oops. Kids will be kids.

Thanks for hanging out, friends!
