What Goes Up...

Do you think that whoever coined the phrase "What goes up must come down" had ceilings in mind? Last Tuesday, our ceiling decided to come tumbling down.

Apparently the flood in the apartment above us, which happened during my brother's visit at the end of June, caused a bit more damage than we expected. Oh, dear!

We were anticipating this for a while as the cracks had grown pretty large, so when we heard a crash from the other room, we instantly knew what had happened.

Tom turned into a suave sweeper type and got the mess cleaned up.

Today a repairman stopped by and fixed it up. Good as new!

Crisis averted.

Ahh...it is those moments which keep life a bit of a mystery and a surprise. Nicely handled, and thank goodness for speedy repairmen (and willing sweepers)!

Whoa! The sky is falling! Once things start falling apart, that means it's time to move! ;)

If you move.....I can give you boundaries within which you can choose a new place. They are roughly Mulholland, Beverly, Sunset Plaza and the 5. That leaves literally thousands of possibilities. -chris-

At least it was over tile, and not the computer. There's the good and bad of apartment living. Bad: people above you making messes. Good: not having to deal with any repairs or maintenance yourselves.
