Disneyland Days

My family came for a visit last week and we had a great time. Of course the big ticket event was our two days at Disneyland. Here are the photos of our adventures!

Shelby and Haylie love to spin the big round rock and to splash around a bit. They stayed here for a long time.

Andrea and Haylie waited for a long time to meet Rapunzel from Tangled. Shelby was napping at the time, and she woke up just in time for us to cut in with them and meet the princess without waiting. Sweet! Thanks, girls!

Andrea is the most photogenic person I've ever known. She looks gorgeous here, as always!
I think Rapunzel was a bit of a dud. But Shelby enjoyed talking to her.
During dinner in California Adventure, Shelby made a wish and tossed in a penny at Paradise Pier.
Hope it came true!
I found this had that matches one I had Shelby try on during her first visit to Disneyland, when she was only two months old. She seems much more willing to wear it now!
Now...
...then.

The second day of our visit, Shelby got to meet Jack Skellington. He was so cool! Shelby has been skittish about characters in the past, but she loved Jack. She had a whole chat with him and then posed willingly for a photo.

The girls also got to meet Lightning McQueen and Mater. Cars is one of Shelby's favorite movies, so she was starstruck.

At the fountains in A Bug's Land, I changed Shelby's clothes in case she wanted to get soaked. She was a bit timid, however, and was content to watch from the sidelines.

Giving herself a pep talk. She kept running to this circle on the ground - I think it was her self-appointed "safe zone".
The girls really started to bond on this trip. By that, I mean Shelby actually acknowledged Haylie's presence. Progress!
We watched the Soundsational Parade, which is fabulous. I was afraid it wasn't running anymore since summer is over, but luckily we got to enjoy it.
Shelby got to finish off my ice cream and wasted no time gobbling it up before the parade.
We stayed until the park closed and started to empty out. It was a little eerie, but also fun to run amok a little bit. Andrea and I ran around full speed with our strollers. How often is Main Street empty enough to do that?

Shelby says "Thanks for the visit, family!"

I loved running amok with you through the empty Disneyland Main Street!! Haha mom was so worried about you running around. ;)
I love the picture of Haylie and Shelby discussing the water park. They were adorable together.
Thanks for the fun week!
