So...we have awesome friends. And mooching pays off!
Our friends Jason and Elizabeth live in a great neighborhood in Pasadena. As an added bonus, they live a mere five minute walk from the Rose Parade route. It's a tradition in their ward to camp out all night holding good spots for the morning's parade, and lucky for us they let us slip in at the last minute to enjoy the fruits of the all-night labor. So we got up at 6am to arrive just in time for the show. We were right by the action and really couldn't have had better seats.

Thanks for letting us take advantage, friends! And thanks to Tom and
Shelby for being ok with an early morning, especially since it was the
last day of Tom's holiday time off. I love my family!

So cool! I've wanted to go to that but I've never been willing to brave the crowds. Lucky you have such good friends!
