Descanso Gardens

We got to check out Descanso Gardens for free!

Today was National Public Gardens Day, and the gardens were open to the public at no charge. We're always ok with taking advantage of free days, so when my friend Meghan told me about the deal we decided to make the drive to La Canada Flintridge.

It took awhile to get there because we took the wrong freeway exit (why are there two different exits for Verdugo Drive anyway?), but it was a nice scenic drive. It's beautiful out there!

We got to spend the afternoon with some of our favorite people in a beautiful garden in the mountains, so I'd say it was a fantastic day.

Shelby got to run through a maze, feed turtles, say hi to fish, and run amok. She's always ok with that.
